Source For Sports

Source for Sports is one of Canada’s favourite sporting goods retailers, with over 150 independently owned stores across the country.

For many years, they have been known for their brand promise: “We Know Our Stuff.” When Revolve was named Source for Sports’ Agency of Record in December 2010, we decided to retain this messaging and use it to develop a fully integrated strategy – encompassing in-store, traditional and online media.

“We explored and defined what Source for Sports offers to consumers and developed a fully integrated brand strategy that they can live and own”, explains Phil Otto, President & CEO of Revolve. “We worked with their board of directors and individual store owners, piloted online and social media programs with stores across Canada, conducted consumer research and analyzed their competition.”

One of the first brand touch point that we addressed was the Source for Sport website. We were presented with an interesting challenge, as we needed to create both a corporate site and 150 individual store sites.

Revolve developed a unique website platform that allows content to be pushed from corporate to store sites. Additionally, stores can share content, such as local marketing campaigns, with each other. The platform also allows for all stores to use website features built specifically for mobile sites or national advertising initiatives. This seamlessly integrated site is both user and retailer friendly – perfectly demonstrating that Source for Sports knows their stuff.
