At Revolve we constantly monitor how well we live and breathe our five guiding brand values: Strategic, Creative, Uncomplicated, Initiative, and We Care. These values hold a tremendous amount of stock in what we do every single day and provide our team a roadmap when we hire, reward and promote.
I have always encouraged Revolvers to keep our workplace as green as possible. While we don’t stand on a soapbox, our young and vibrant team has been raised in a world where pollution, global warming, and sustainability are top of mind, reinforcing their deep understanding of the importance of operating in a sustainable manner at home and at work.
We do not allow bottled water at our office, a mandate facilitated by a self-filtering water cooler and reusable water bottles. We provide Revolve coffee mugs and an espresso machine to cut down on waste. And there is always a large supply of fresh fruit in our kitchen to encourage staff and clients to consume healthy snacks without wasteful packaging. While these may seem like small steps, these three initiatives make a long-term impact in an industry where late nights and coffee breaks can happen often and represent our willingness to change behaviours for the betterment of all.
Our further efforts involve tablestakes - recycling bins at every desk, electronic forms and charts, using technology for national and international meetings to avoid the damaging impact of frequent and unnecessary travel, and using our paperwaste to make notebooks for use by clients and staff.
We appreciate every opportunity to work with clients who make the environment a priority and help them explore the importance of environmental sustainability when developing brand strategies. This has proven to be the best way to evaluate the steps that we have already taken, and the potential for further change both within our walls and the walls of our clients.
