Halifax Pride has grown into the fourth largest festival of its kind in Canada, welcoming nearly 150,000 locals and guests to a week-long celebration of our vibrant LGBTQ+ community. Heading into its 28th year, Revolve was honoured to refresh the festival’s brand identity and website, design the 2015 Festival Guide cover and provide the public with an interactive tool to show their pride.
The redesigned Halifax Pride website prominently features the festival’s new identity and was developed to respond to whichever device was accessing it, ensuring desktop, mobile and tablet users all enjoyed a beautiful online experience. And since its main function was to inform festival goers, we designed halifaxpride.com to promote upcoming events right on the homepage.
Revolve also applied disruptive thinking to provide the LGBTQ+ community with an interactive tool to show their pride. Titled “It’s Your Pride”, anyone could go to halifaxpride.com/yourpride, write a statement about what pride means to them and share it on their social channels or print out a poster.
